Cute little retro tutorial for short-ish hair
After hearing a lot of people complaining that their hair is at the ‘in-between’ growth stage, and seeing as mine is also at that stage, I’ve decided to do a series of mini-tutorials.
I will aim to post one video a week (starting this week), and they will be mainly aimed at those with above-shoulder length hair who want to do something nice whilst it’s growing.
If you have any requests, suggestions or questions, please feel free to ask them.
Tool wise, I’ll be using bobby pins, hair bands (both the small elastic variety and the larger ones), hairspray and maybe a few props here and there.
At the moment, I’ve got a bit of a thing for the hair ties with the pliable metal inside of them, if you want to know how I made them, I’ll be putting up the step-by-step guide here, later this week.
Hope you enjoy.
Lots of volume, back combing and possibly extensions to make it fuller. Blow dry your hair with your head upside down or with a big round brush, keep it short, too. It’s much easier to texturise short hair than long hair.
I’d also recommend buying a growth treatment, the only one I’ve ever used is by Lee Stafford and it smells amazing. It’ll help get your hair back to it’s full strength.
Who lives near me and wants to let me play with their hair and take photos?
I’m going to add some hair videos to the hair & beauty youtube channel this weekend.
Do any of you have any requests/ideas?
I’m up for a challenge ;)
A quick fringe/bangs braid tutorial.
I promise this blog will not turn into a hair & beauty tips page, this is just a phase until I’ve got time to do proper videos for the channel.
Sorry, boys :/
Someone asked me about how to do this, so here’s a quick tutorial ;)
As henna is natural, I can’t see it doing any damage to your hair. It’s not something I’ve used recently, but I’m sure I have when I was a lot younger.
The best thing to do is take a small clipping of your hair and do a strand test. That way you’ll know if any reaction will occur and a good idea of the end result.
Oh, and from past experience with it, I remember the smell is pretty strong. Just to warn you ;)
